Like every year, World Cup skiers see their second part of December characterized by a series of races in Italy, in the heart of the Dolomites. On the program: Downhill, Super-G, Giant and Slalom. What to make us vibrate during the holidays!
Val Gardena, 15 and 17 December: The Descents
Among the men, it was Cyprien Sarrazin who was the first member of the Skkil Family to thrill us. Confident in speed since the start of the season, and despite one of the highest bibs at the start, our ambassador was able to make his commitment and his touch of snow speak for himself to finish 19th on the first day and 6th on the second.
An eventful weekend in terms of results with two different podiums: the first downhill was won by the Austrian Vincent Kriechmayr ahead of the Swiss Marco Odermatt and the Austrian Matthias Mayer.
And it was the Norwegian Aleksander Aamodt Kilde who won the next day ahead of the French Johan Clarey and the Italian Mattia Casse.
Alta Badia, December 18-19: The Giants
The Super-G having been cancelled, the World Cup continued its tour of Alta Badia for two giants, during which three of our athletes set off: Victor Muffat-Jeandet, Cyprien Sarrazin and Loévan Parrand.
Two good fights for Victor who consolidates his place in the top 20 on the first day ( 15th ) and a 22nd place during the second event. A solid and very encouraging return from injury for the rest of the season.
Cyprien and Loévan failed to make the cut in the first giant, won by the Norwegian Lucas Braathen ahead of his compatriot Henrik Kristoffersen and the Swiss Marco Odermatt.
It was the second day that Cyprien was able to score his first points of the season in this discipline by finishing in 25th place with bib number 41.

Madonna Di Campiglio, December 22: The Slalom
Make way for the mythical Italian night, where we found our team of slalomers: Clément Noël, Victor Muffat-Jeandet and Steven Amiez.
A first run in control for our Olympic Champion which forced him to let go of the horses on the second. An intensity that will have earned him to widen the gap on the first two intermediaries before getting on at the entrance to the wall. It is the Swiss Daniel Yule who will win to equal in number of victories on this track (3) his runner-up of the day, Henrik Kristoffersen, with the German Linus Strasser to complete the podium.
In good shape after his big results in the European Cup (victory in Obereggen and third behind two World Cup skiers in Val di Fassa), Steven unfortunately made a mistake halfway through, after a solid first sector.
An evening with a bitter taste therefore, punctuated by the qualification missed by 3 tenths by Victor. Revenge to be taken for our three ambassadors during the next slalom in Garmisch on January 4, 2023.
Bormio, 28-29/12/2022: Downhill and Super-G
Dominated by Vincent Kriechmayr who signed his second success of the season, ahead of the Canadian James Crawford and Aleksander Aamodt Kilde, Bormio's descent did not allow Cyprien Sarrazin, the only member of the Skkil family to start, to repeat his superb performance last week, finishing 23 rd .
The Super-G, meanwhile, allowed us once again to see the supremacy of the Swiss Marco Odermatt flying over the Channel to win for the fifth time this season, ahead of Vincent Kriechmayr and the Swiss Loic Meillard.
Leaving full of good intentions, Cyprien will have lit green on the first intermediate, before falling heavily. However, he got up quickly to indicate that everything was fine.
On the women's side, Marie Lamure is the only representative of the Skkil family to have raced in the World Cup during this tour. Author of a solid start to the season with a top 20 in Levi last November and a narrowly missed qualification in Killington, our ambassador consolidates her place in the top 20 with a 20th place in the slalom in Sestriere on December 11th.
Unfortunately, Marie finished 34th in the Semmering slalom on December 29, 28 hundredths from qualifying.
Next meeting: Zagreb on January 4 and 5.
